On March 25, the 500 MW green power supply project for the industrial park in Qahar Youyi Front Banner (Xinghe County), Inner Mongolia, invested and constructed by CECWPC, officially commenced construction.

As the largest single-capacity project and the first industrial park green power supply project within the Group, the project has a total investment of approximately RMB 1.75 billion and an installed capacity of 500 MW. It is equipped with a 75 MW/300 MWh energy storage system and a 220 kV booster substation. Adopting a coordinated wind power + energy storage model, the project will further enhance power regulation capabilities, address challenges in local consumption of renewable energy, and inject strong momentum into the company’s high-quality development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, as well as the optimization of Ulanqab’s energy structure and the green upgrading of regional industries.

Upon completion, the project is expected to deliver an average annual on-grid electricity generation of over 1.2 billion kWh, save 364,500 tons of standard coal, and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 1 million tons each year. It will not only provide stable green electricity to local industrial parks, but also support the accelerated green transformation of traditional industries, contributing to high-quality local economic development.
